Jessie was born in Ecuador, but she was raised in Brooklyn, NY from the age of one. She grew up in Flatbush, a vibrant community that would go on to shape her deep commitment to education, healing, and justice. After graduating from Syracuse University, Jessie began her career teaching elementary school in Houston, TX. Since then, Jessie has been coaching and developing educators and leaders to promote the growth and development of their students, teams, and organizations.
Jessie spent several years in the education non-profit world doing a lot of coaching and consulting across the United States. She focused on equity, cultural competency, leadership development, management of teams, teacher training, coach training, onboarding, and building facilitation skills. In the spring of 2017, she became a Certified Professional Coach. Then she took a huge leap of faith on herself, and started Healing is Justice.® Today, she blends all of her knowledge with a very holistic approach to personal and professional development. She believes any learning space can also be a healing space so she coaches, consults and facilitates with a strong healing disposition.
These days you can catch Jessie finding gratitude in the small moments and staying connected to loved ones as safely as possible. Mask up!
